Don Giovanni Cagliero. Guidò la prima spedizione missionaria, e divenne più tardi vescovo e cardinale. Qui è con Zefirino Namuncurà (1886-1905), figlio di un potente cacico della Patagonia. Zefirino mori a Roma in concetto di santità. Per aver favorito con instancabile attività il progresso materiale e spirituale degli indigeni, i Salesiani si guadagnarono il rispetto e la confidenza delle tribù e dei loro capi. With him is Zeferino Namuncura’ (1886-1905), son of a powerful chief in Patagonia. Zeferino died in Rome with the reputation of holiness. The Salesians gained the respect and confidence of the tribes and their leaders on account of their tireless work for the spiritual and material good of the natives.
