| Descrizionedcterms:description | Anno 1864. La chiesa, iniziata nel 1863, fu consacrata l’8 giugno 1868.IT It is 1864. Don Bosco employs Buzzetti to build the Basilica of Mary, Help of Christians at Valdocco. How much money did he have for this great enterprise? He had it all in a small purse which he emptied into the hands of the builder: 40 cents! The miracle is that the builder agreed to start the job. Once again Don Bosco had recourse to his well-used lotteries, begging tours, and, above all, an immense faith in Our Lady. When the work was finished Don Bosco said: “Every brick in this church is a grace from Our Lady.” The church, begun in 1863, was consecrated on the 8th of June 1868.IT |
