Don Bosco arranged this between Joseph Bartolini, a carpenter, and one of his young apprentices, Joseph Odasso. It bears the date of the 8th of February 1852. Even in those distant days Don Bosco had the idea of a contract between employer and apprentice, an idea later adopted universally. On the right of the plate is the first page of the contract. On the left is the last page with the signatures, amongst them is that of Don Bosco.IT |
